I'm eating my dinner when Cruiz turns to me and says, "Look mom, "L." I guess he bit his food into the shape of a L and thought it was pretty sweet.
Then two seconds later, Aiden says, "Look mom, the United States." Aren't my kids so awesome? It's funny that they can be creative even at the dinner table. HaHa

Aiden turns 6
Aiden had a Star Wars Birthday this year. He loves Star Wars, and likes to tell me that he knows much more about Star Wars than I do. He recieved a couple of Star Wars items for him birthday, and asked for a Star Wars cake too.
Since Aiden's birthday is the day after Halloween, we kept with the theme. I made him spider cupcakes for his birthday treat at school.
When I asked Aiden what kind of cake he wanted for his Birthday, he told me he wanted me to make him the Death Star. I didn't really know what I was doing, but I was able to wing it.
Cruiz looking cute.
Here are the boys on Aiden's birthday. We had a fun day! I love you Aidey-guy!!!
Fright Night
This is Caleb and Aiden's skills at work. For those of you who are not Star Wars nerds, this jack-o-lantern is carved into Darth Maul from Episode I.
Here we are as Ken and Barbie this year.
The boys looked so cute in their Lego costumes. Cruiz was actually a trooper wearing that big box around, even though his speed of walking was cut in half.
Cruiz loved trick or treating this year. Once he found out that he was getting candy AND he could eat it too, he was in heaven. After each treat he received, he would turn to me and say "Open it" over and over again. I love Halloween, especially when I end up eating all the treats!
When I have a girl....
at least I know what she'll look like. I feel that I will never get a girl, but at least I know she will be cute, right? This proves that if I were ever to have a girl someday, (which isn't looking so great if you know my family stats) she'll be just as cute as my boys are.
The hair is not a wig. It is my hair, and Calee's hair.
Cruiz turns 2!
Cruiz got a train table for his Birthday. I finally talked Caleb into getting one after years of him saying he would build one for Aiden. Cruiz loves playing with it!
Then we headed over to the zoo for more Birthday fun. We haven't been to the zoo since May, so Cruiz was loving it.
We ended the day with cupcakes, and Cruiz did an excellent job of blowing out the candles.
I'm not sure how many of you out there recognize this photo. It was taken from a television screen, so it isn't crystal clear like I hoped it would be.
Now, you readers out there, don't go and get jealous just because you weren't as lucky as me to stumble upon something as amazing as this. Before you scroll down and try to figure out what I'm talking about, just give it a few more seconds to sink in.
I guess you could say that I stood where Edward stood and smiled where Bella smiled. Now I can't wait for NEW MOON!
Bryce Canyon Half Marathon
I finally ran a Half Marathon! I have been wanting to run a half marathon for a quite a while now, and have never been able to find one close enough to where I live, or one that isn't on Sundays. After moving to Toquerville, UT for the summer(Southern Utah for peeps that don't know where it is) I found an awesome running parter to run with. She didn't run the half with me, but she did run a 5K and a 10K with me this summer.
The half marathon has the distinction of going through Bryce Canyon National Park, a beautiful park full of amazing rock formations and colors in Southern Utah.
I wanted to beat this girl and one other girl so bad because they kept stopping to walk at all the water stops, and I never stopped. Then they would pass me up each time. At the end of the race, I sprinted past both girls and creamed them. That was pretty sweet!
Here I am after the race, feeling like I might die. It was a tough race, but I was so glad I did it. I was pretty happy with my time. For my first half, I placed 63rd out of 625 girls. My time was just under 1:45. So I pretty much ran 8 minute miles the whole race, or I ran 7 minute miles at the beginning and slowed down to 9 minute miles near the end. The only bad part of the race was that around mile 10, I got a really bad sideache that lasted almost the whole rest of the race.
Caleb ran the 5k race that took place during my half marathon. He was pretty happy to place 2nd in his age division. He called his race the "The Weenie Race." I concurred.
After the race was over, Caleb and I drove through and saw Bryce Canyon.
I love this picture, it just looks so cool!
When we first got to Bryce Canyon we went to packet pick-up where we received folders with our race number, and an outline of info. Then we got our t-shirts.
There was a spaghetti dinner that runners could pay $10 for the night before the race, so Caleb and I decided that it sounded pretty good and we ate up. Then we drove back to where we were going to stay for the night. We had to camp the night before the race, which I didn't mind so much until we set our tent up in the dark an I had to sleep on rocks. I feel like I didn't get any sleep at all, but when my alarm went off at 4:50 A.M., I got up to get ready for the race that started at 6:00. Then I ran a Half Marathon. I loved it!
