After living in Kansas for 2 full months, and sleeping on queen-sized air mattress for those 2 full months, Caleb decided he couldn't take it anymore. He cut out the door frame above the stairs so we could finally get our California king mattress up the stairs. It still took some prodding and pushing after he cut out the top of the frame, but now we are happily living it up on a luxurious and most comfortable bed. Do you think the landlord will notice?

Working in the Leaves?

I guess you could call raking the leaves work, but Caleb and I have fun raking the leaves. Raking the leaves this time around took us a few hours to do because we had so many leaves.

If you look closely at this picture, you can see Aiden's little head peeking out of the window. The poor kid really wanted to come out and play in the leaves too, but he was so sick he could barely lift his head up to look out the window.



Caleb's Superman into the leaves. He kind of wished he didn't do the Superman afterwards because he sunk straight to the ground and kind of landed with a thud, resulting in a hurt back. Whoops!



Caleb tried to jump over the leaf pile, but he didn't quite make it.



This is the results of some hard work and play. We filled up 9 bags with leaves, plus our giant trash can.

I Love Fall!

I'm always scouting out trees in the fall to see which ones I think are the prettiest. This year Aiden has been on the lookout with me for trees that we think are the most pretty. One particular day we had a few minutes to spare before picking up Caleb from school, so we set out in search for some of our favorite trees. Here are a few pics of some of them.

Fall is my favorite season! I love the weather, the beautiful trees, and scenery all around us. It has been so pretty here in Kansas during this fall season.

The Combat Air Museum

For Aiden's Birthday, we decided to go and see the Combat Air Museum. It was really cool, and there were a lot of fun things to do and see. They have little airplanes for the kids to ride around in on the floor. Then we got to go inside an airplane and a helicopter. Aiden also got to climb inside an airplane cockpit, and push all the many buttons.
We all had a lot of fun on his Birthday!

The Big 5!!!

Aidey-guy turned 5 on November 1st. He got a lot of cool Star Wars stuff from every single person that got him gifts. (Thanks to all the people that got him presents!) I guess everyone that knows Aiden, knows he loves anything and everything that has to do with Star Wars.

It just takes 3 people to figure out how to get the Star Wars ship out of the box and unattached. They look like they are concentrating so hard though.


The Birthday Cake.


I had to have Aiden blow out his candles 3 different times. The first was so that we could get a video of him blowing out the candles while we sang the Happy Birthday song. The next 2 times were so I could get some good pics of him blowing out the candles.




Aren't these two cute? Aiden didn't even get to finish his one piece of cake that he got because he started feeling sick by the end of the day. At least we made it through his Birthday before he got super sick.

Halloween Fun!

Halloween was so fun this year. Aiden was so excited that he could hardly stand to to think of anything else (besides his Birthday the following day). Caleb and I were a Cowboy and Indian, while Aiden and Cruiz were Thing 1 and Thing 2. This year I was a little stressed while I was making all of our costumes. We didn't decide what we were going to be until the last minute and then I was struggling to finish everything in time for our Halloween parties. Poor Caleb didn't even get to wear his chaps that I was making because I didn't have them finished. Oh well, fun was had by all.




Caleb and I were able to go to some of our friends annual Halloween party. There were no kids and we were required to dress up. We had so much fun playing games and eating treats all night. Then we had the JRC party, where we had a yummy dinner, a donut eating contest, and a scary cupcake walk. The following week we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church followed by trick or treating around the neighborhoods. I love Halloween just as much as when I was little. I still get to dress up, I get to dress my kids up, and then I get to eat my kids candy.
